Cancer Prevention and Support
Nutritional therapy for people living with, beyond, or at risk of cancer.
What is Integrative Oncology?
I work with adults with any solid tumour cancer, at any point in their journey: during active treatment, in recovery, in remission, or focused on reducing the risk of recurrence.
How I Can Help
During treatment
Treatment takes a significant toll on the body, on energy, digestion, immune function, and weight. Nutritional therapy during this phase focuses on supporting your resilience, managing the nutritional impact of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery, and keeping your body as strong as possible through what can be a prolonged and depleting process.
In remission and beyond
Living beyond cancer involves a different set of questions. How do you reduce the risk of recurrence? How do you recover gut health and immune function after treatment? What does long-term nutritional strategy look like for your specific cancer type? This is where a personalised, evidence-informed approach, one that takes your individual history, genetics, and current health into account, makes a real difference.
Prevention and risk reduction
For people with a significant family history, a known genetic predisposition, or a previous cancer diagnosis, nutritional therapy offers targeted strategies to address modifiable risk factors. I hold an additional qualification as a Nutrigenomics Practitioner with Lifecode Gx, which allows me to incorporate genetic insights into nutritional recommendations where relevant.
Functional Testing
DUTCH Hormone Testing
DUTCH Hormone Testing analyses sex hormones, adrenal function, and hormone metabolites in detail. This is particularly relevant for hormone-driven cancers — including breast, ovarian, endometrial, and prostate — for understanding how the body is processing and clearing hormones, and for guiding nutritional and lifestyle strategies around recurrence risk. For prostate cancer specifically, DUTCH provides a detailed picture of androgen metabolism that can inform nutritional support both during and after treatment.
Comprehensive Stool Analysis
Comprehensive stool analysis provides a detailed assessment of gut microbiome composition, digestive function, and markers of intestinal health. This is valuable during and after treatment, particularly where chemotherapy or antibiotics have disrupted gut health, and as part of any longer-term immune recovery strategy.
Lifecode Gx Nutrigenomic Testing
Lifecode Gx nutrigenomic testing examines how your individual genetic variants influence the way your body processes nutrients, regulates hormones, manages inflammation, and responds to environmental factors. As a BANT-registered Nutrigenomics Practitioner, I can interpret and apply these results within a personalised nutritional programme.
An Important note about scope
My private practice offers nutritional therapy as a standalone service, not as part of a medical practice. I do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical oversight. Everything I recommend is designed to complement and work alongside the care provided by your oncologist and medical team, and I share my recommendations with your medical team as standard.
BREAST CANCER — LOOKING FOR DOCTOR-LED SUPPORT?
I also work within the Mosaic Medical Breast Cancer Service, where nutritional therapy is delivered as part of a doctor-led, integrative clinical programme. If you are living with or beyond breast cancer and would like the reassurance of direct medical oversight alongside nutritional support, Mosaic Medical offers exactly that.
Mosaic Medical is the UK’s first nationwide doctor-led Functional Medicine group practice. Their breast cancer service brings together medical and nutritional expertise in an integrated clinical setting.
My Credentials
I am also a qualified Nutrigenomics Practitioner with Lifecode Gx (2023), with a particular interest in how genetic factors influence cancer risk, treatment response, and long-term health.
All recommendations are made within the scope of nutritional therapy and shared with your medical team as part of a joined-up approach to your care.
